Here are the 21 validators securing Mezo's economy at mainnet launch.

Each operator has locked 10 BTC for 12 months and will run Mezo’s full stack to keep the network open, censorship‑resistant, and BTC‑denominated.

The stack they run
Each validator operates three components:
- Mezo Bridge Validator Node — consensus engine with sidecars that move assets between Ethereum and Mezo.
- Full Ethereum Nodes — two Geth + Prysm pairs track on‑chain events, or equivalent RPC endpoints.
Minimum required spec: 4 vCPU, 16 GB RAM, 256 GB NVMe for the bridge node; 4 vCPU, 16 GB RAM, 2 TB NVMe for each Ethereum pair; 100 Mbps bandwidth; 96 % uptime. Every validator stakes 10 BTC for 12 months.

Join the Mezo Validator Community
Mainnet is live with the above curated set of validators, allowing for rapid iteration while real value begins to flow through the system. Over time, the network will open up to broader participation, creating new opportunities for operators to help secure the system and shape its future, while receiving economic upside through a unique dual-staking token system.
Soon, participants will also be able to lock BTC to mint a non-transferable NFT (veBTC) that:
- Streams a share of network and application fees
- Provides influence over emissions and upgrade decisions
- Enhances validator rewards as the network evolves
