Introducing MEZO Gauges
veMEZO holders can now direct MEZO incentives to MUSD pools on Curve, Uniswap and Aerodrome. As of writing, about 200k MEZO per epoch is now allocated by vote rather than by the Foundation.
Why pools outside Mezo
MUSD is only useful if it's liquid where people already are. Thin pools on other chains mean MUSD can't be entered or exited at size, limiting MUSD debt book, and putting pressure on the stablecoin's peg.
veMEZO holders now decide which of those pools receive MEZO incentives.
How it works
Each epoch, MEZO emissions move through a governed splitter tree that sets how much reaches validators, staking gauges and the MEZO gauges. Gauges are where those emissions land, and votes decide the split between them.
MEZO gauges now point at MUSD pools off Mezo. veMEZO holders vote each epoch to weight them.
Merkl handles distribution to Curve and Uniswap, with direct incentives going to Aerodrome. You can participate by voting with veMEZO and by providing liquidity on these pools to earn the incentives.

Decentralizing incentives
Most protocols decentralize governance but keep incentive allocation in-house.
This closes the last centralized piece of our economic engine.
Similar to other gauges on Mezo, anyone can add rewards to gauges to attract votes. veMEZO voters then earn those rewards every epoch.
