Every Lunar New Year, red envelopes move from hand to hand. An elder to a child. A friend to a friend. These red envelopes are special not because of what's inside, but because they carry someone's wish for prosperity. Lunar New Year is a season of reunion, where blessings are exchanged and prosperity is shared.

Mezo is handing out sealed Red Envelopes. Unseal yours, share the wealth, and welcome abundance for the year ahead.

Who Gets a Red Envelope?

Red Envelopes are Phase II of the MEZO airdrop. Genesis envelopes went out to three groups:

1. Phase I recipients. You received a MEZO allocation in Phase I. Your envelope arrived automatically. This is your chance to grow that allocation before TGE.
2. Phase I near-misses. Maybe you deposited but didn't fully explore the app. Maybe you forgot to register. Maybe life got in the way. Whatever the reason, you're getting another shot.
3. Community contributors. Select community members, including G6 users and key Discord participants, received envelopes for their role in building Mezo.

Haven't received an envelope yet? Someone who has one can send you a personalized link. When you join and use Mezo, both envelopes grow.

How Red Envelopes Work

Your envelope arrives sealed and 'Locked'. Share a post on X to unseal it and activate it to Level 1. From there, your envelope levels up as you use Mezo, all the way to Level 8. Higher levels may mean bigger Phase II allocation.

How to Grow Your Envelope

You have three ways of growing your Phase II allocation:

1. Take action on Mezo. Provide liquidity, lock BTC, vote, borrow and mint MUSD, swap, and deposit in vaults. Each action is tracked and counts toward your envelope level. Here are the minimums to qualify:
   1. MUSD Borrow: Increase your principal by at least 10 MUSD
   2. MUSD Savings Rate Vault: Deposit at least 10 MUSD
   3. veBTC Lock: Create a new lock or increase an existing lock by at least 0.0001 BTC
   4. Vote: Vote at least once (no minimum amount)
   5. Provide Liquidity: Provide any amount of liquidity
   6. Swap: Execute at least one swap
2. Gift envelopes. Bring your friends in. When they level up their envelope, it can boost yours, too. You grow together.
3. Roll the dice. Free dice rolls drop daily for three days starting February 24. Each roll can level up your envelope or add gift envelopes to share. Rolls stack and don't expire, so joining late doesn't mean missing out.

Same as Phase I, usage and consistency matter. Those who actually use the platform will be recognized. Gamification and abuse will not be tolerated. For context, Phase I filtered out ~30k addresses for sybil and abuse.

A note on mats: we're moving to implicit onchain tracking. If you held mats, your status carries over. Nothing is lost. If you missed out on mats entirely, this is your on-ramp. Activity on Mezo will still be measured and credited, but via an onchain usage tracker that records real usage automatically rather than via explicit reward tracking. This helps prevent gaming, abuse, and sybil attacks.

Dice Rolls

Starting February 24, every user receives one free dice roll per day for three days. Rolls stack and don't expire — if you join late, your rolls will be waiting for you.

Each roll can land on one of five outcomes: +2 levels, +1 level, +1 gift envelope, +2 gift envelopes, or +3 gift envelopes. There's a cap of two levels gained through dice rolls, so if you hit +2 on your first roll, the remaining rolls will award gift envelopes instead. You also can't hold more than 8 gift envelopes at a time, so share them as you get them.

Gifting

Only envelopes that reach Level 1 or higher receive gifting envelopes each epoch. The higher your level, the more gifting envelopes you'll receive.

Gifting envelopes expire at the end of each epoch. Use them or lose them. Each gift is a unique one-time link. Once someone signs up through it, the link expires.
