How to Send Assets on Mezo

You can send assets to other users on Mezo directly from the Mezo Passport. Recipients can be identified by their wallet address, Bitcoin address, or Mezo ID.

Note

Sending assets through the Passport transfers tokens on Mezo — it does not send assets on the Bitcoin network. If you want to bridge assets off Mezo, see Bridges.

Recipient types

The Send form in the Mezo Passport supports three types of recipients:

• Wallet address — Enter a standard 0x… address on Mezo.
• Bitcoin address — Enter a Bitcoin address. Mezo resolves it to the corresponding wallet on the Mezo network automatically.
• Mezo ID — Enter a Mezo ID. The resolved wallet address is displayed beneath the input field so you can confirm the destination before sending.

When you enter a Bitcoin address or Mezo ID, the resolved 0x… wallet address appears below the input field as a confirmation step. Always verify this address before proceeding.

Send assets

1. Open the Mezo App and sign in.

2. Open the Passport dropdown from the top of the page.

3. Click Send to open the send form.

4. Enter the recipient’s wallet address, Bitcoin address, or Mezo ID.

5. If you entered a Bitcoin address or Mezo ID, verify the resolved wallet address displayed below the input field.

6. Select the asset and enter the amount you want to send. The real-time USD equivalent is displayed alongside the amount.

7. Review the transaction details and click Send to confirm.

After the transaction completes, you’ll see a confirmation screen with a “Transaction sent” message and a link to view the transaction on the Mezo Explorer. Click Done to return to the app.
