What is Mezo?
Mezo is a self-custodial Bitcoin banking experience—where you can earn, spend, and save without giving up your BTC. At the center of this system is MEZO, the network's coordination asset that routes incentives, directs liquidity, and lets BTC holders amplify their influence over protocol rewards.

Full Walkthrough
Before you start, make sure you have:
- Bitget Wallet installed on your mobile device
- At least $11 of tBTC on Ethereum mainnet (extra $1 to account for gas costs on Mezo - gas is paid in BTC)
Don't have tBTC? You can buy it directly on Bitget and other major centralized exchanges. You can also get tBTC from Uniswap, Curve, an aggregator like Jumper, and many other onchain platforms.
⚠️ Important: Only wallets created with a seed phrase support Mezo. Social login wallets (Google, Apple) won't work. If you're using an embedded wallet, create or import a seed phrase wallet in Bitget before proceeding.
Here's how to add a seed phrase to your Bitget wallet:
Adding Seed Phrase to Bitget Wallet
Step 1 – Follow Mezo on X
Stay updated by following Mezo on X, where all important airdrop announcements and communications will be released.
- Open X on your mobile device
- Search for @MezoNetwork
- Tap Follow
Step 2 – Add Mezo to Bitget Wallet
Your wallet needs to recognize Mezo so you can use all of the available features.
Step 2 – Add Mezo to Bitget Wallet
- Open Bitget Wallet and set up a wallet with a seed phrase
- Go to the Wallet tab and tap the Networks icon (upper right)
- Tap Add network
- Search for Mezo and tap the + icon to add it
- Verify with your fingerprint
To switch to Mezo:
- Go to the Discover tab
- Navigate to mobile.mezo.org
- Tap the profile icon next to the URL bar
- Under Select network, tap Ethereum, then select Mezo from the list
Step 3 – Bridge Your Assets to Mezo
3.1 Create Your Mezo Account
- In Bitget Wallet, go to the Discover tab
- Navigate to mobile.mezo.org
- Tap Sign In → select Bitget Wallet
- Sign the transaction to verify ownership
- Choose a name for your Mezo ID and confirm
Step 3 – Bridge Your Assets to Mezo
3.2 Bridge tBTC to Mezo
- In the Mezo app, tap Deposit
- Select tBTC as the asset
- Enter the amount (minimum 10 USDT worth)
- Tap Review
- Tap Approve tBTC for Deposit and sign
- Tap Confirm Deposit and sign
3.2 Bridge tBTC to Mezo
Bridging takes roughly 15 minutes. Your tBTC will appear as BTC in the Mezo app.
💡 Tip: The interface may show a minimum amount warning even when you're above the threshold. Ignore it and proceed—the transaction will go through.
Step 4 – Swap BTC for MUSD
You'll need MUSD to provide liquidity in the next step.
- In the Mezo app, tap Swap
- Set From to BTC
- Set To as MUSD
- Enter the amount (swap roughly half your BTC to have equal amounts for LP)
- Tap Approve BTC and sign
- Tap Swap and sign
Step 4 – Swap BTC for MUSD
Now you've got MUSD in your wallet.
⚠️ Note: The swap may show "pending" after the first signature. Double-tap to trigger the second approval—it's not stuck, just waiting for confirmation.
Step 5 – Provide Liquidity
Earn rewards by adding liquidity to the BTC/MUSD pool.
- In the Mezo app, scroll to DeFi and tap Pools
- Select the BTC/MUSD pool
- Under Earning, tap Add
- Enter the amount for one token—the other auto-calculates
- Tap Add Liquidity
- Sign the approval and deposit transactions
Step 5 – Provide Liquidity
💡 Tip: Leave at least 0.00001 BTC in your wallet for future gas fees.
⚠️ Note: The deposit may show "pending" after the first signature. Double-tap to trigger the second approval—it's not stuck, just waiting for confirmation.
